About
Custom Wagon
At Custom Wagons we make our
wagon wheels and wagon wheel hubs, WE NEVER MAKE OR SELL SECONDS.
All of our wood wagon
wheels, cannon
wheels, and carriage
wheels are hand crafted and quality made from the
finest USA hardwoods. Our wood wagon wheels, cannon wheels,
and carriage wheels are made with solid steam-bent hardwood
construction and hardwood spokes.
All of our wood
wagon wheels have forge shrunk steel rims, rubber
can be applied to most of our wagon
wheels. Our wood
wagon wheels are not only authentic wagon
wheels that are use on our wagons, they can be
used to add that rustic, country, or western decor to any
room or landscape. These are the same wood
wagon wheels that we use for our wagon
wheel chandeliers and wagon
wheel hub lamps.
We are a small family owned
business, located in the Appalachian Mountains of Eastern Kentucky and Eastern
Pennsylvania. All of our products are made of selected woods,
crafted with the concern for quality and durability that is
a part of our mountain heritage. We never use composite materials
in any of our products.

Our wood
wagon wheels, wagon
wheel chandeliers, and wagons are in the movies,
(Paramount, DreamWorks, Warner Brothers Pictures, Disney,
Turner Films), on TV (Trading Places, Into The West, Myth
Busters), on the beach at resorts, in university theater groups,
major theme parks (Disney, Six Flags, Silver Dollar City,
Kennywood), restaurants around the world, at work in Central
Park, on working wagons everywhere, our wagon
wheels are even on Broadway in theaters. Our wagon
wheels can even be found at the entrance to a Wal
Mart store in Texas.
Growing up in the mountains of Kentucky, wagons and "made
on the place" furniture was just part of my life. Made on
the place meant that the item was made on the farm. As late
as the mid 1950's, the wagon was part of everyday life for
us. I remember taking the wagon ride to town to visit the
country store on Saturday to replenish the staples the family
needed and could not produce ourselves.

After several request from friends and with the fond memories
that I have of those wagon rides to town, I started producing
custom built wagons, full size and miniature. Over the years
the number of models that we custom make has grown to our
current production.
We hand make everything that we sell, with the exception
of a few items that are made by Amish craftsmen. I have found
that the quality of the items that the Amish make for us meet
our quality standards. The products that are made by the Amish
also help the Amish community supplement their farm income.
We manufacture our products,
we do not have a retail store so all of our products are sold
via the internet. Please contact us before you plain a visit.
Should you have questions concerning any of our services or
products, please contact us.
