Butter Churns and Wood Buckets were an everyday part of rural America. Wood Buckets and Butter Churns were made by the family or someone in the community, it was unheard of to buy Wood Buckets or Butter Churns outside the community. In the late 1800 hundreds and early 1900 hundreds, mail order companies and rural peddlers started selling mass produced Butter Churns and Wood Buckets.

While our Wood Buckets and Wood Butter Churns are intended for decorative use, the are still built in the same manner as the rural Butter Churns and Wood Buckets of a hundred years ago.
